"The Little Boy In Me" is een album waarop ik bijna alles zelf heb gerealiseerd. Gedurende de jaren heb ik altijd liedjes geschreven, en nu heb ik er negen op dit album verzameld.

Dit album is behoorlijk autobiografisch van aard. Het schrijven van teksten heeft me altijd geholpen om zowel blije als minder plezierige momenten te verwerken. De muziekstijlen variëren, dus kijk zelf welke stijlen je kunt ontdekken. Ik heb alle nummers opgenomen in mijn 'Homestudiootje' met behulp van 'GarageBand'. Alle instrumenten en vocalen die je hoort, zijn door mij gespeeld en gezongen. Cristina Espeleta neemt backing vocals voor haar rekening op A Special Day. Ook doet ze lead vocals op No Chance To Return. De drumpartijen zijn door mij gearrangeerd en afkomstig van de ingebouwde drummers in 'GarageBand'. Ik hoop dat jullie dit een mooi album vinden!

A SPECIAL DAY

Een liedje dat ik schreef in 1997. Je weet pas waar je echt toe in staat bent, als je iets harder je best doet. Als je iets langer volhoudt en als je een iets grotere stap durft te nemen. Dacht ik toen.... In het laatste refrein zit een muzikaal grapje

KING OF THE NIGHT

De akkoorden en de melodie stammen al uit 1986. De tekst schreef ik in 2024. Uiteindelijk kiezen we in de meeste gevallen voor de gemakkelijkste weg, waarbij we zo veel mogelijk de risico's proberen te vermijden.

NO CHANCE TO RETURN

In 1990 schreef ik dit liedje. Een liedje over de ' onomkeerbaarheid der dingen' .....

WHO'S GONNA FIX IT

Een recente song uit 2024. Wie is toch degene die ons kan leiden naar een weer wat normalere maatschappij?

WAITING FOR THE LEAVES TO FALL

Geschreven in 2020. Over een onbeantwoorde liefde uit het verleden.....

THE WRONG DIRECTION

In 1992 schreef ik deze song. Probeer 's wat anders dan dat je gewend bent. En kijk dan waar je uitkomt. Blijf vooral niet volharden in maken van de verkeerde keuzes

THEY NEVER TOOK ME DOWN TO ROSIE

Het oudste liedje op dit album. Uit 1982. Nog volop dingen aan het ontdekken. En met oudere vrienden kom je nog 's ergens (of ook niet)....

BIG TOWN BLUES

Een liedje dat ik schreef in 1992. Vrijgezel en veel was mogelijk :). Met de nodige zelfspot beschrijf ik deze periode.

De titelsong van dit album. Geschreven in 2025. Het gaat over mij en mijn (gekwetste) kleine ik in mij. Voor veel mensen herkenbaar?

"The Little Boy In Me" is an album on which I realized almost everything myself. Over the years, I have always written songs, and now I have gathered nine of them for this album.

This album is quite autobiographical in nature. Writing lyrics has always helped me process both joyful and less pleasant moments. The music styles vary, so see for yourself which styles you can discover. I recorded all the tracks in my 'Homestudiootje' using 'GarageBand'. All the instruments and vocals you hear have been played and sung by me.  Cristina Espeleta provides backing vocals on A Special Day. She also does lead vocals on No Chance To Return. The drum parts come from the built-in drummers in 'GarageBand'. I hope you find this a beautiful album!

A SPECIAL DAY 

A song I wrote in 1997. You don’t really know what you’re capable of until you try a little harder. Until you hold on a bit longer and dare to take a slightly bigger step. That’s what I thought back then....  In the last chorus, there's a musical joke.

KING OF THE NIGHT

The chords and melody date back to 1986. I wrote the lyrics in 2024. Ultimately, we often choose the easiest path, trying to avoid risks as much as possible.

I wrote this song in 1990. A song about the 'irreversibility of things'.....

“El niño pequeño en mí” es un álbum en el que he realizado casi todo por mí mismo. A lo largo de los años, siempre he estado escribiendo canciones, y ahora he recopilado nueve de ellas en este álbum.

Este álbum es bastante autobiográfico por naturaleza. La escritura de letras siempre me ha ayudado a procesar tanto los momentos felices como los menos agradables. Los estilos musicales varían, así que mira por ti mismo qué estilos puedes descubrir. He grabado todas las canciones en mi 'homestudio' utilizando 'GarageBand'. Todos los instrumentos y voces que escuchas han sido tocados y cantados por mí. Cristina Espeleta se encarga de los coros en A Special Day. También hace la voz principal en No Chance To Return. Los partes de batería provienen de los bateristas integrados en 'GarageBand'. ¡Espero que encuentren este álbum hermoso!

UN DÍA ESPECIAL 

Una canción que escribí en 1997. Solo sabes de qué eres realmente capaz cuando te esfuerzas un poco más. Cuando perseveras un poco más y te atreves a dar un paso un poco más grande. Pensé eso en aquel entonces...In el último estribillo hay una broma musical.

REY DE LA NOCHE  Los acordes y la melodía provienen de 1986. La letra la escribí en 2024. Al final, en la mayoría de los casos, elegimos el camino más fácil, tratando de evitar riesgos tanto como sea posible.

SIN OPORTUNIDAD DE VOLVER 

 En 1990 escribí esta canción. Una canción sobre la 'irreversibilidad de las cosas'... 

¿QUIÉN LO ARREGLARÁ? 

Una canción reciente de 2024. ¿Quién es el que puede guiarnos hacia una sociedad un poco más normal? 

ESPERANDO QUE CAIGAN LAS HOJAS 

Escrita en 2020. Sobre un amor no correspondido.

LA DIRECCIÓN INCORRECTA 

En 1992 escribí esta canción. Prueba algo diferente a lo que estás acostumbrado. Y luego mira a dónde llegas. No te empeñes en tomar decisiones equivocadas. 

NUNCA ME LLEVARON A ROSIE 

La canción más antigua de este álbum. De 1982. Aún descubriendo cosas. Y con amigos mayores a veces llegas a algún lugar (o no)... 

GRANDES BLUES DE CIUDAD 

Una canción que escribí en 1992. Soltero y muchas cosas eran posibles :).  Con el debido sentido del humor, describo este período.

EL NIÑO QUE LLEVO DENTRO 

La canción principal de este álbum. Trata sobre mí y mi (herido) niño interior.
